My name is Yamuragiye Cyprien and I am a founder of Christmyonlyhope.org. I have lived my life as a disabled person, having been born with severely crippled limbs and having lost one of my legs during the
Rwandan genocide. Most importantly, I am a child of the one true living God, who saved me through Jesus Christ His only begotten Son and God the Holy Spirit in the aftermath of the Rwandan genocide.

Christ My Only Hope International Ministries is committed primarily to share the gospel of Jesus Christ as the only hope of the world to all people.

In the country of Rwanda and in the village of Rutagara, where Cyprien was born, we have been able to establish a ministry team that focuses on discipleship and training of the local residents. Through this ministry, we have built a multi-purpose facility that is being used by our team to serve and minister to the public.

From Unknown to Known

At birth, Yamuragiye Cyprien was so severely disabled that his appearance brought fear to the hearts of the residents of his Rwandan village. They were certain that something evil was happening and they were in danger if he was allowed to live. In a culture where names are important, his father names him “Unknown” because they didn’t know what he was.

Rejected by his own and homeless by three, he miraculously survives only to face an even greater challenge in the Rwandan genocide. His survival gives way to more challenges including rejection, imprisonment, threats, and gunfire. His amazing story will reveal the miraculous intervention of a loving God.
